Casey’s Endorsement: Payback!

032808larrykane.jpg

Hey, Larry Kane has done an “analysis” for KYW 1060 on Bob Casey’s endorsement of Barack Obama! Apparently they’re good friends in the Senate (plus, uh, Obama is going to win and Casey can maybe land a sweet gig later).

And then there’s this!

But there’s an inside story of what happened here, and it goes back to 1982.

The late Robert Patrick Casey, governor of Pennsylvania at the time, asked for a few moments from the Clinton forces to speak at the Democratic National Convention in New York City about his pro-life views. He wanted to show that there were other views on abortion in the Democratic Party.

He was denied that access despite pleas from James Carville and Sen. Harris Wofford. Casey — father of the current senator — was bitter and angry, and he carried that bitterness to his death as he forged ahead with his pro-life views across the country.

That was never forgotten by the Casey family, and you could say that this endorsement is somewhat of a payback politically — but also a sincere endorsement on the part of the younger Bob Casey.

Hey, Zombie Robert Casey forced his son to endorse Barack Obama! It’s nice they’re at least listening to a dead man besides Jesus for once. Glad to see the elder Casey was bitter until his death, too.

Sexy Female Pirate Ninja Zombie LOLCats Are Chuck Norris’ Base, Killin’ His Doods

The rest of Pennsylvania is an interesting place. It seems content to simply kill us with nuclear fallout and also they have ninja robbers.

Female ninja robbers. Out near Pittsburgh, two women dressed as ninjas robbed a convenience store. Weird, you think they’d go after a bigger target. They’re ninjas and all.

Police said the two women — one with a dagger, and the other carrying the sword — entered a Sunoco station in the 5600 block of Route 8 at about 3 a.m. [...]

“They were all covered in black and carrying swords, so it did appear that they were dressed like ninjas,” said Chief Robert Amman of the Northern Regional Police Department. “Swords, daggers could be used to seriously harm victims, so this is a very serious crime.”

If there’s one thing I know about the Internet, it’s that it loves stupid shit like ninjas. (And zombies and cats and Chuck Norris and All Your Base Are Belong To Us!) So here’s my ninja post of the day to get more and more Google hits to this site. LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE!

Werewolf Robs String Of Convience Stores; Dracula, Frankenstein Expected To Embark On Similar Spree

Stop the presses. A werewolf has been robbing convenience stores in Montgomery County. (Sure, NBC 10 says it’s a guy in a “mask,” but I’m pretty sure it’s a werewolf.)

The werewolf has hit three convenience stores with his partner, a man in a hooded sweatshirt. (Probably a zombie.) Both the werewolf and zombie are armed with hunting knives, probably to throw people off, since they don’t really need weapons. (They’re a werewolf and a zombie!) It’s unsure why the werewolf is simply robbing stores instead of slaughtering people, but I suppose he’s a kinder, gentler werewolf.

The werewolf also robbed a pizza delivery man, too, with a female accomplice. (Elvira?) Although police are trying to calm people’s fears by saying it’s a guy in a wolf “mask,” the public is nonetheless scared.

“I can’t pinpoint it but it’s scary,” said Robert Arrison of Lansdale.

You can’t pinpoint it? It’s a werewolf! Terrorizing your town! How clear do I have to make it for you?

Two, three, four zombies eating your brains a day

122705zombiecity.jpg This, well, bone-chilling news broke over the weekend: KYW 1060 is now the official zombie radio station of Philadelphia. We already knew this town was Zombie City, USA. And now we have more proof, from Michael Klein’s Christmas Day column in the Inquirer:

When Viacom Inc. changed the name of its radio group from Infinity to CBS a few weeks back, KYW-AM (1060) had to tweak its familiar ID, in which announcer Dick Covington begins: “This… is… Newsradio.” You might think such a change would be a challenge because the golden-piped Covington died in March 2004. Program director Steve Butler had an out. Before Infinity took over in the late 1990s, the station owner briefly went by “CBS.” A Covington “CBS Radio” clip was found in the archives, and an engineer laid the music over it.

Then again, it’s not just Philly: this is the zombie newsradio… serving Pennsylvania, New Jersey… and Delaware.
