Philly.com Faces New Challenger

Philly.com may have the horrible commenter award locked down, but St. Mary’s County Today (a paper in Maryland, apparently) really throws down the gauntlet with this graphic.

Tobaccoland notes the paper also wrote, “Four cocaine cockroaches crawling with heavy charges.” (The paper also writes that the drug dealing will stop now that people have been arrested for it. I can’t believe how many people think this.) There’s also this editorial, that says if some dude hadn’t dealt drugs, he could have been president, like Barack Obama.

Oh, yeah, and the paper’s front page links to a recent Fatimah Ali column.

I believe I have found a new favorite website.

Stuff White People Like has a bookdeal. Things work quicker than back in the time of Maddox.

For Better And For Worse

The Center City Weekly Press redesigned its website. The edgy 1998-style logo is probably modeled on the artwork of Trent Reznor or the World Wrestling Federation, and the site is infinitely easier to read.

But the site also features a talking female robot/fake newsbabe, perhaps the cousin of Irresistible Ella, making it infinitely worse to visit. I’m not sure what happens when to infinities collide, but best not to think about it if it tears the universe apart or something.
