 If you were doing something more important Saturday afternoon — like shopping, sleeping, living, etc. — you might’ve missed the giant pillow fight at Love Park. Fortunately, the Daily Pennsylvanian was there to capture all the fun and run a giant, all caps headline about it. Editor’s Note: Seriously, guys, all capital letters? I think the font size is even bigger than the “TERRORISTS STRIKE NEW YORK, WASHINGTON” headline. I know it was a slow news weekend, but…
My good buddy and Penn med student Tim P. noticed something near the end of the article, though, that there was actually a somewhat famous person in attendance at the pillowfight:
“Philadelphia needs more fun, rowdy excitement,” said April O’Neil, who sounded the trumpet to open the fight. “So they need more organized — well, unorganized — fun activities going on.”
O’Neil insisted, however, that she was not responsible for planning the event.
Although O’Neil did not organize the pillow fight, she did alert the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to the whereabouts of Shredder and Krang, leading to a tremendously entertaining battle in the Technodrome.
