Phillies To Sell Goosebump Cream

ESPN’s Jayson Stark has a column today about baseball teams who have started poorly, and naturally the Phillies are included.

Assistant GM Ruben Amaro Jr. talks with Jayson Stark because he pretty much quotes all the same players/management he quoted when Stark worked for the Inquirer. (See also: Glanville, Doug; Schilling, Curt.) Also, because he gives quotes like this:

“We’d better get it going,” Amaro said. “Or we’re going to find ourselves selling suntan lotion in September.”

Suntan lotion sales, of course, being highest during September.
