Rhymes with “sherpes”

Every Thursday is dating day in Metro! And today’s dating page is oh-so-special, because there’s a column about being single by Greg Gilderman.

Being single is something near and dear to my heart since I’ve spent most of my life in this state. But the last paragraph is kind of strange, I must say. You can see an excerpt of the .pdf of the page here, or just read it below:

Some guys drink. Some do drugs. Others try to do the wild thing with as many confused girls from New Jersey as possible. Here’s my point. Even what seems like the apex of the male single life ultimately leads to loneliness and, if you’re not careful, a disease that rhymes with “flaids.”

In his next column, Gilderman is going to write about that horrible event in world history that rhymes with “Dollocaust.”
