Kerri-Lee Breaks Thousands Of Philadelphia Hearts

031607heads.jpg

Remember back in the old days — i.e. earlier this year — back before Milton Street, before the Philebriti/web guru couple Infiniti ad, but after Barbaro? Me neither.

But I went back through my archives and found there was about a week where this site was nothing but Kerri-Lee Halkett. This, of course, culminated in the inexplicable mention of yours truly on television by not only Kerri-Lee Halkett but also Jennaphr Frederick. (What more could a boy want?) After that point, I sort of figured there wasn’t much else to do to top that, and it was over.

But then, I read this item in yesterday’s Dan Gross column:

There’s a newsome twosome in television news: Fox 29 anchor Kerri-Lee Halkett and NBC-10 reporter Jamison Uhler have been dating for about two months. When Uhler, a Delaware County native, moved to the area in January 2006, to join NBC-10, he arrived from his last job in Orlando with a fiancee named Rebecca, a nurse. The couple split amicably late last year, and we’re told there was no overlap in the relationships for Uhler, who knows Halkett from Arizona State University, where both studied journalism.

Oh, I see how it is. I stop writing about Kerri-Lee Halkett and she goes and runs off with an NBC 10 reporter! (I know the timing doesn’t quite work out, but I already started on this extended joke and I don’t feel like coming up with something up.) My only question to Kerri-Lee: Why would you date this guy when you could date State Senator Vince Fumo? Wait, I guess that’s a rhetorical question.

Blogicized: Worst Year Ever

• People in Philadelphia, apparently, don’t know when they’ve been shot down, even if it takes them a year to notice. (I’m past that point; I know when I’m being rejected. It comes sometime in the five minutes following, “Nice to meet you.”) They also, apparently, have the “worst year ever,” which is kind of confusing until you remember this is Philadelphia. One final moment of schadenfreude

And, finally, to close out this day of lonliness/love and keep with the theme I’ve been doing this afternoon, I present to you the final line of Stephanie Abrams’ report of Valentine’s Day:

The retail industry says the average consumer will spend roughly $100 on their sweetheart on Valentine’s Day.

Woohoo! Eat it, those in committed relationships! I’m buyin’ me a new pair of sneakers!
