 Yesterday NBC 10 reported that a five-year-old boy (at left) was left at his bus stop early by a “beligerent” substitute bus driver.
The boy, who attends Pope John Paul II Regional School — he already has a school named after him? This must be in Bridesburg — said the bus driver was 30 minutes early, and that his babysitter (the boy’s, not the driver’s) wasn’t at the stop waiting for him yet. And when he said he couldn’t get off the bus until his babysitter was there, the driver yelled at him and made him get off the bus.
Okay, okay, all well and bad. But the driver apparently let him off in front of a bar and a drug rehab center. My questions, which are not asked by NBC 10:
- If the bar and drug rehab center are so bad for the kid to be left out in front of, why is this his regular bus stop? (The story didn’t make any mention that it wasn’t his regular stop.)
- Whose idea was it to put a bar and a drug rehab center across the street from one another?
