Other ‘PW’ Blogger One-Ups Me

051208spikol.jpg

It appears both current Philadelphia Weekly bloggers were in the news over the weekend as Liz Spikol was written up in the New York Times over the weekend.

Geeze, you’d think it’s 2006 with all these stories on bloggers. What’s next, another racehorse who breaks his leg in the Triple Crown? Er.

And, yes, if you haven’t seen it, here’s my clip on the Friday 10 o’clock news.

‘PW’ Editors Elsewhere

Oh, forgot to link this the other day: PW A&E editor Tara Murtha has a post on Comedy Central’s InDecision 2008 blog about her fantasy of a hetero-lesbian crush on Hillary Clinton. Which is odd, because I also have a hetero-lesbian crush on her. Er, wait.

Today on DrugRoar.com

I wrote late last night about the scare over “skunk cannabis” in England, which is leading the government to increase the penalties for possession and sale of the drug. Prime Minister Gordon Brown said that marijuana use can be lethal, too, which is a level of lie even our politicians won’t touch. (Not that the Inquirer won’t.)

This Week’s Drug Roar

It’s about marijuana decriminalization, the “duh” of drug policy reform. (I forgot to post this Tuesday, mainly because I was sick.) As usual, I’m blogging at drugroar.com nearly every day.

Today On DrugRoar.com

Yes, I’m blogging here every day, for the most part. Today, I write about the big drug bust today and the staunch rhetoric of public officials — ahem, Mr. Mayor — who should know better.

‘PW’ Chatted With The Losers!

PW’s Alli Katz was apparently not as tired of the election as I was and lugged a video camera all across the city yesterday, including the Famous 4th Street Deli. There, she interviewed Anne Dicker and Johnny Doc, who both lost to Larry Farnese in the First District Senate Race. What a sad video!

She also got video of Obama at Pat’s (of course) and a near-riot of Obama and Clinton supporters outside City Hall, putting my work ethic to shame.

Well, kinda.

PW On The Election

Here’s a PW video from West Philly asking people about whatever is going on today. (An election of some sort?) And Steven Wells listens to right-wing talk radio all day, including the show of Bill Bennett, who still has a job somehow.

There will be more on the PW front page all night.

Drug Roar

Look, this column is super-topical: Both Obama and Clinton aren’t progressive when it comes to drug law reform. Actually, they’re pretty much the same as Ronald Reagan. Ooh, goody!

Ha Ha, Kids Who Can’t Vote For Obama

Everyone knows Barack Obama is popular with the kiddies. “He’s their KFC JFK!” the adults say, and they are probably right. But some of these people are so young they will not even be able to vote for President Obama for re-election in 2012, except in their mock elections — and by then they will want to vote for Ron Paul anyway. (For mayor, they’ll be voting for Larry West.)

PW reporter extraordinaire Alli Katz interviews some kids who support Barack Obama but won’t be able to vote for him next week. Ha ha, stupid kids! What can Obama do for them — they don’t even drive! (As the commercials tell us, Obama will stand up to the oil companies with his giant gun of hope.)

Hillary Clinton immediately called for the punishment of these children by taking away their violent video games.
