Random, Anonymous Reports Of Pat Sajak’s Demise Have Been Wildly Exaggerated

This was spotted taped to a light post at 11th and Spruce this morning:

It wasn’t just that. It was a full story about the supposed death of Mr. Sajak. It even has a quote from an adoring fan:

“I don’t think there will ever be a game show host as perfect for the role of game show host as Pat Sajak,” said Stephane Rosen, 34, of Fayetteville, PA upon learning of the death of the famed wheel-spinner. “He will forever be remembered as the quintessential game show host.”

What, I just like saying “game show host,” okay?

Okay, obviously Mr. Sajak is still alive — uhm, as far as we know — and did not die from gall bladder surgery. And I doubt anyone would think they’d address his death on the lightposts of Center City. But, wow, this is detailed! Who would spend their time on something this detailed? Is it some sort of Might Magazine/Adam Rich stunt? Is someone in the Gayborhood angry that Sajak is a Republican? Will we, one day, actually get our news from the lightposts, i.e. wireless internet attached to them? So many questions!

After the jump, the full flyer, scanned in for your enjoyment/confusion.

The Daily News‘ Dan Gross spins us this yarn today:

“Wheel of Fortune” host Pat Sajak and his family took in the Flyers’ overtime loss to the Rangers on Saturday night at the Wachovia Center. His spokesman says the Sajaks came to town specifically to catch the Flyers game.

No matter how much you hate your job today, just think, “It could be worse. I could be Pat Sajak’s spokesman.”
