Blogicized: Seriously… Scott Rolen?

• Best baseball promotion ever? The Reading Phillies are giving out pint glasses of former players, including Mike Schmidt, Bob Boone, Darren Daulton, Scott Rolen (Ha!) and Ryan Howard. [Beerleaguer]

• All the Penn kids are excited about O.A.R. playing the school’s Spring Fling. When I find out who O.A.R. is, I will make up my mind on whether it’s a good band choice or not. [Philly Future]

• What Real World: Key West has that Real World: Philadelphia didn’t? A buxom 19-year old who might have mob connections. [SteveSilver.net]

• Pennsylvania got a D+ in mental health (apparently a new subject at school). As one of my college friends said when he got his final grade, enabling him to graduate: “That’s D for Di-ploma!” [The Trouble With Spikol]

Won’t you be my neighbor?

Yeah, I missed this earlier in the week, but fortunately newspaper correction blog Regret the Error was there to notice it. A correction in the Daily News read:

In a story published Aug. 17, 2005, regarding the death of Gary Tinneny, it was stated that James Passalacqua, now deceased, was “in and out of mental hospitals for years.” This information was provided by friends and neighbors of Mr. Tinneny. The Passalacqua family strongly denies that James was ever in any mental hospital or was treated for any mental condition.

With friends like these… eh, you know how it goes.
