City Council Only Seems Like It’s Stuck In 1932

In one of the many threads on Phillyblog about the smoking ban, a poster noted another City Council business-regulation bill. This one essentially bans the sell of drug paraphernalia in convenience stores and other non-smoke shops (.pdf download).

Nothing too special there. But check out section 2, which explains what’s banned:

Objects used, intended for use or designed for use in ingesting, inhaling or otherwise introducing marihuana, cocaine, hashish or hashish oil into the human body.

Damn kids and their marihuana and their speakeasies!
