One-Man New Jersey KKK Disbands

The one-man KKK of Millville — that’d be Joseph Bednarsky — previously passed out white supremacist fliers, threatened to pass out more white supremacist fliers and defended the KKK from asbestos-planting accusations.

But now, that’s all in the past. Joseph Bednarsky says he has disbanded his local chapter of the KKK and renounced his white-supremacist ways. He said he joined the KKK when he was 18 and spent 20 years donning the white hood and spouting various racist nonsense. But he’s done with it.

Hell, he’s even realistic about it! “You don’t go to bed one night being a white supremacist and wake up the next morning and everything is fine,” Bednarsky said. “It’s something I have to work on as a person. I have to change the way I think.” He doesn’t say what caused him to wise up to the fact white people aren’t better than any other race — met a cute black girl? discovered an Asian guy made Super Mario Bros.? — but he does say he was pretty damn lonely before.

“I’ve lived a very isolated life as a Klansman,” Bednarsky said. “I’ve been convicted of felonies because of it. I lost my better half and didn’t get to see my children. It has cost me a lot.”

Really? You were isolated in your one-man chapter of the KKK in New Jersey? Gee, surprising. But, hey, he’s renounced his ways. Good for him.

KKK (Of Millville) Corrects Record: Organization Comprised Of Hateful Losers, None Of Whom Has Ever Planted Asbestos Under A Town Building In New Jersey

Oh, it’s a new year, and that means we’re getting closer and closer to Joseph Bednarsky’s one-man KKK protest, scheduled to take place on May 12 in Hammonton.

You may remember Bednarsky from last year’s KKK flier handout in Deerfield Township, New Jersey, where he attempted to get people to join his own special club of the KKK — all together now: “Confederate Knights Of The Ku Klux Klan Of Millville, New Jersey” — and maybe meet his mom, who he lives with.

The May 12 rally has already drawn counter-fliers from a socialist (of course) group that label Bednarsky a “bigot.” Bednarsky responded to NBC 10’s Ted Greenberg: “I’m not a bigot. I’m a very open-minded person.” He didn’t add, “As long as you’re white,” but I think it’s safe to say that’s understood.

Bednarsky also says that, despite the white hood and robe organization he belongs to, he’s not really about hate. He told NBC 10 that the reason he’s been protesting is because a local councilman accused the KKK of planting asbestos under a town hall and he didn’t get an apology. Because, you know, he’s a very open-minded person.

One-Man KKK Chapter Plans To Annoy People

When we last saw 37-year-old Joseph Bednarsky (right, approx weight: 767 pounds, or 1.52 Ed Rendells), back in October, he was passing out KKK fliers at a picnic in Deerfield Township in Jerz.

Bednarsky — who, as you may remember, lives with his mother and calls himself “Imperial Wizard of the Confederate Knights Of The Ku Klux Klan Of Millville, New Jersey” — is back again, filing paperwork to let Millville know of his plan to pass out KKK literature in the spring. Because if there’s one person people in Millville are going to listen to, it’s a racist who can’t even get into the KKK and has to form his own chapter who lives with his mother.

Bednarsky wants his “group” to rally from 9 to noon. He’s previously clashed with Millville officials when he appeared at a town council meeting in October seeking an apology from a city councilman who told police to investigate whether the KKK planted (?) asbestos (?) under Town Hall. (If you plant asbestos, do you get a cancer-causing tree to grow?)

But that’s not all the racist news in Jerz today. Two Bayonne parents are going to federal court today to challenge a suspension their kids got for wearing Hitler Youth buttons to school. (Where would one get a Hitler Youth button? I’m kind of afraid to search the Internet for fear of finding some sort of racist eBay.) Anyway,k the parents are pissed — they had previously sued over school uniforms — and, amazingly, the students wore buttons of a group with fewer members than the “KKK of Millville.”

KKK Blankets Jersey With Poorly-Drawn Fliers

A community gathering at a park in Deerfield Township, New Jersey, was invaded over the weekend. No, it wasn’t invaded by ants or whatever else ruins picnics in cartoons. It was invaded by a the Ku Klux Klan.

Two men were arrested for passing out Klan fliers at the gathering, including the flyer shown in the photo, which appears to be some sort of crude drawing of Casey Jones from Ninja Turtles. The two Millville men — 37-year-old Joseph Bednarsky Jr. and 33-year-old Robert Barker — obviously annoyed a few people at Deerfield Township’s Harvest Festival and a ruckus broke out. They ended up being arrested by state police for disorderly conduct, although it seems pretty clear they were actually arrested for passing out Klan fliers.

So who are these two mystery men? Barker said he wasn’t passing out literature — but did say he’s a Klan member, natch — while Bednarsky wasn’t home when NBC 10 contacted him (emphasis mine):

What’s lamer than being in the KKK? Not even being a good enough racist fuck to get a real title from the organization, and making up your own. Oh, and living with your mom on top of all that.
