Let’s Get Pumped For Fake Disaster 2K7!

Sometime around, oh, now, Philadelphia will shut down the Parkway and Eakins Oval in order to run a simulated disaster.

There’ll be lights, sirens, ambulances, and fire officials scrambling to respond to a 9-1-1 call. Philadelphia City Managing Director Loree Jones won’t say what the disaster is, so no one has the chance to rehearse. She stresses this is just a drill, to make sure the city is ready to handle any crisis: “This is the first time that we’re exercising a coordination between the city ambulances and non-municipal ambulances. It’s the first time we’re doing this on the Parkway and the first drill at night.”

So when the Bush Administration executes their fake terror attack in order to declare martial law and stay in office indefinitely, we’ll be prepared!
