Is Our New AILF A MILF?

Rimshot on the headline

Now that Alycia Lane has to remain out of trouble — and, therefore, out of the public eye, I guess — for the next six months, Philadelphia is searching for a new anchorbabe.

Sure, we still have Kerri-Lee Halkett; her and Erin O’Hearn are the more common search terms to reach Philadelphia Will Do. (Other popular search terms: Dorothy Krysiuk, Monica Malpass and — really! — Doug Kammerer.)

But a reader implores us to check out CN 8 host Lynn Doyle, who recently took fourth place in a search for models over 50.

Doyle is actually actually 51, says her MORE Magazine profile, which also notes that her mother makes a 9,000-calorie custard and she says she “exercise[s] all year so I can eat the custard at Christmas!” Hey, I do the same thing with exercise and beer.

Anyway: I implore you people to judge her and all anchorbabes harshly! I believe we should keep an eye on Ms. Doyle in case she punches the president or Howard Eskin or something, and continue to drift our attention back to Kerri-Lee. Duh.

Don’t quit your day job, William Devlin (whatever that is)

The topic on last night on CN8’s It’s Your Call with Lynn Doyle was the decriminilization of marijuana. William Devlin, a local pastor and founder of the Urban Family Council — who we last saw bending the rules of the Evening Bulletin — came on to speak against decriminilization:

Get it? It’s funny because Chris Farley was fat and now he’s dead. Sigh.

Feb. 16: The norm (subject to change)

Blogicized: Training day

• Matt at The BM Rant picks his “Top Songs of 2005″ and, for some reason, he decides to do 24 of them. Aw, come on! Just one more and it’s all neat and tidy! Okay, 24 will have to do, then. [The BM Rant]

• Apparently, machines control our world and they are our new gods. Eh, maybe. I think robots will really control our lives when they become sentient and we can interact with them even more than we do now. For now, I’m still into the whole money/celebrity worshipping. Bonus fun fact: In writing this, I learned how to spell “sentient.” [Pax Ramano's Ramblings]

• I saw this Reading Terminal Holiday display last year, and it’s okay, I guess — if you’re into the whole train thing. You are? Heh. Alright, then. Oh, and this year’s display is apparently different, but that doesn’t make me any less snarky about it. [Phillyist]

• Finally, some those poor souls in Manayunk and University City can finally watch some Lou Tilley sports shows. Viva la CN8! [Philebrity]
