I have no idea why, but this photo keeps making me laugh. So I’m posting it.

According to this photo on the front page of Philly.com earlier today, Jimmy Rollins’ head is roughly twice the size of either John McCain’s or Barack Obama’s. Hmm, good to know.

From the Vince Fumo indictment (.pdf) comes this email, allegedly sent by Fumo himself:

Were are we with the Farm Planner? I want to start laying out the pastures, and pond and barn locations, etc.!!! Also, I am thinking about raising Alpacas. I understand that they can be very profitable.

Also, a staffer admitted in an email this was one of his duties, while complaining about other staffers:

I would like to see their reaction if they had to wrap 150 VJF bobble head dolls and mail them.

Bobbleheads, alpacas… this is the most entertaining thing I’ve read all year.

Looks Like Don Tollefson Isn’t The Only Bobblehead On Local TV News

While it does have impressive video offering on its website, CBS 3 won’t commit a little copyright infringement to put the highlights of last night’s Eagles-Packers game online.

So the station does what any competent news organization would do: Have Ukee Washington re-enact last night’s game with a Donovan McNabb bobblehead and a Jerry Rice bobblehead.

Duh.

A press release came across my desk the other day, and it’s quite possibly a new sign of the apocalypse:

Sports Radio 610 WIP’s Howard Eskin is proud to announce that this year’s “Eskin Bobblehead” raised over $40,000 for charity. The Eskin Bobblehead, available at kingbobblehead.com, sold out even quicker than last year’s. It also generated more money for charity.

Well, at least Howard is using his fame for good.
