Columnist Sends Beanie To Halfway House

I have done a lot of things on this blog to piss people off, but I am pretty sure I never got anyone in trouble with the law. Apparently, Dan Gross sent Beanie Sigel to a halfway house. Geeze, Dan. Steve Volk didn’t do anything like that.

Dan Gross says oops on his blog and not much else. He reported Beanie was at the Tropicana — the Trop? Really? Beanie! — and that was a violation of his parole. He has to stay at a halfway house for the next sixth months. Let’s hope Gross has a basket of fruit ready for Beanie.

Beanie Continues Not Snitchin’

Remember back in May when Beanie Sigel got shot? Of course you do; it’s just another adventure in the fast-paced life of Beanie Sigel. Well, Beanie told the cops five guys tried to rob him, which — of course — immediately sounded a little fishy to everyone.

Fast forward to Friday night. On a satellite radio show — cute headline, by the way, Daily News — Beanie said eh, y’know, I wasn’t robbed:

“Oh! My getting shot and somebody robbing me! Negative,” Sigel said during a two-hour interview on “The Aphilliates: The Streetz is Watchin’,” a weekly hip-hop show. ¶ “I am on federal parole, so I can’t get into details, but give me another nine months and I will tell y’all exactly what the deal was.”

Beanie, however, has yet to explain exactly what happened, or why, exactly, he drives a Chevy Impala.

In Beanie Sigel’s World, Every Day Is An Adventure

Man, things just don’t get any easier for our rapper pal Beanie Sigel:

Philadelphia police report that rapper Beanie Sigel was shot and wounded as he was being robbed sometime before 8am on Thursday.

Sigel, a Philadelphia native, was shot once or twice in the arm and drove himself to the hospital, according to police sources. He was reported to be in good condition.

The rap music star, born Dwight Grant, says five men tried to rob him. It was not immediately clear whether the gang got anything during the robbery. Police say they have no one in custody.

Geeze, and after his clothing line helped catch a cop killer, too. If you’re wondering, Beanie’s Wikipedia page has already been updated with the shooting. Of course.

Beanie guilty of assault; gets probation

Oh, indeed. Everyone’s favorite always-in-trouble rapper was back in court today, and the Beanie Blog is all over it.

Anyway, Beanie was convicted of simple assault earlier today — and he got two years probation from the state. (He already has a bunch of other federal probation. Oh, Beanie.)

But that’s not all: Beanie was scheduled to go into court later today for a civil contempt case for failing to pay child support. Steve Volk has all the goodness over there at the Beanie Blog. Try not to get too upset that you didn’t think of the idea first, Citypaper.
