Diphthong Dipping In Philadelphia

I’ve been watching this clip over and over and over again and trying to dip my diphthongs more and more, so if I ever see Batman he’ll know I’m from Philadelphia.

Also, apparently “New York City” equals “Gotham City” but “Philadelphia” equals “Philadelphia.”

Batman To Team Up With The Slowskys

As part of a promotion for this summer’s new Batman movie, Warner Bros. has launched Gotham Cable News. The fake news website includes news reports about batman and crime in Gotham — and horrifying fake ads for Comcast. Apparently, the residents of Gotham City have to deal with the same poor HD picture quality and unreliable Internet service we suffer here in, uhm, Brotherly Love City.

Favorite Cartoons Fight Fraud

Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett went on Good Day Philadelphia yesterday to talk about an investigation, but also made sure to note that on whatever fraud website he was investigating, his crack team of investigators was using names like “Batman” and “Spider-man” and “my favorite, Wile E. Coyote.” Whoo!
