Hitler Planned Attack On Bucks County
Like (I hope) most of you, I’m in the camp that believes that Adolf Hitler belongs to the type of people that we can call “mass-murdering fuckheads.” (I think this is an Eddie Izzard quote.) Fairly straightforward. But this mass-murdering fuckhead did know one thing about the United States of America, and I’m glad he didn’t execute his plan. During World War II, Hitler planned to attack Andalusia. Ah, yes, Andalusia, nestled on a strip of Route 13 inbetween the City Line Tavern and the old Mobil station, clearly did know that Andalusia was the most important aspect of America, and bombing that city would most certainly have cost the U.S. the war. But, no, Hitler wasn’t going after the Wawa or that store that used to sell baseball cards or the Woodhaven Mall. (Note: None of those things may have been there in the 1940s.) He was going after the Penn Salt Co. cryolite plant, which was crucial to the war effort because [note: look up what "cryolite" is and find out why it was crucial to the war effort before hitting 'Publish']. And, yes, after an inquiry from a local man, the FBI’s files prove this story: Hitler had a plan to attack several vunerable spots along rivers, bridges and, of course, the Penn Salt Co. cryolite plant. Now, though, the Penn Salt Co. plant is being torn down as part of a redevelopment of Bensalem’s waterfront:
They totally should try to sell the neighborhood based on this story. “Live in beautiful Andalusia Green! The neighborhood so good, Hitler wanted to destroy it!” or “If Hitler lived here, he’d be home by now!” The possibilities are endless. Hitler’s Bensalem target [Bucks County Courier Times] |
