Now that Alycia Lane has to remain out of trouble — and, therefore, out of the public eye, I guess — for the next six months, Philadelphia is searching for a new anchorbabe.

Sure, we still have Kerri-Lee Halkett; her and Erin O’Hearn are the more common search terms to reach Philadelphia Will Do. (Other popular search terms: Dorothy Krysiuk, Monica Malpass and — really! — Doug Kammerer.)

But a reader implores us to check out CN 8 host Lynn Doyle, who recently took fourth place in a search for models over 50.

Doyle is actually actually 51, says her MORE Magazine profile, which also notes that her mother makes a 9,000-calorie custard and she says she “exercise[s] all year so I can eat the custard at Christmas!” Hey, I do the same thing with exercise and beer.

Anyway: I implore you people to judge her and all anchorbabes harshly! I believe we should keep an eye on Ms. Doyle in case she punches the president or Howard Eskin or something, and continue to drift our attention back to Kerri-Lee. Duh.

Nude TV Reporter Gets Murder Confession

Back in 2004, ex-NBC 10 anchor Sharon Reed posed naked for an artistic nude shoot, but after disrobing chickened out, because, as Americans, we’re taught to fear nudity. (She also threatened NBC 10 reporter Alycia Taylor back in 2002 on an online messageboard. What is it with news anchors?)

Well, since then, she’s moved on to reporting more serious events, it seems, as Reed recently went all Nancy Phillips and got a murder suspect to confess to shooting a 12-year-old girl.

{Eric] Wilson confessed his role during a phone interview with 19 Action News Anchor Sharon Reed Monday evening - and apologized to the victim’s family.

Wilson says he understands - having five daughters of his own.

Wilson is still on the lam, but there’s a $5,000 reward for his capture. Reed is planning to celebrate by stripping off all her clothes over the phone.

Vince Fumo Now Available For Dates, Social Events

Vince Fumo is back on the market, ladies!

Dan Gross reports today the recently-indicted state senator split up from his girlfriend, Roseanne Martin, who was formerly engaged to Ed Snider. “It just wasn’t a good match,” Martin said. “He has a very difficult year ahead of him.”

Meanwhile, this leaves Fumo free to get back to what he does best: Attempt to date the city’s cute anchorwomen. Gross has previously reported Fumo was after both Alycia Lane and Kerri-Lee Halkett. So who’s next? Is Erin O’Hearn too young for Fumo? Will he try to seduce Cecily Tynan? How about Jennaphr Frederick? (Yes, I know, some of these people are married. Shush.)
