Phils Win, Give Me Heart Attack

Gee, nice, fast game and all, guys, but did Brad Lidge really have to make everything so close there at the end? He definitely killed off a few of our more loyal fans in that ninth inning. Gah.

And thanks for rubbing it in that postgame graphic there, TBS.

Thoughts and recap to follow; I need to calm down a bit. Maybe a lot.

Ha Ha, Brewers

The Phillies are now up 3-0 (!!) thanks to some patience at the plate from Pat Burrell and Shane Victorino (RBI walk). But before that, Chase Utley got a 2-RBI double when Mike Cameron (above, dropping the ball) misjudged the ball and saw it go off the top of his glove. And before that, Rickie Weeks dropped the ball at first on a Cole Hamels sacrifice.

Carlos Ruiz got the only clean hit of the inning when he led off with a single. I know: Carlos Ruiz!! Who knew?

Bon Jovi Leads Phils To Scoreless Tie

Hey, we’re two innings in and absolutely nothing has happened. The highlight: Ryan Howard worked a walk and Pat Burrell hit into a double play on the next pitch. Cole Hamels has like 100 million strikeouts.

But, Oh!, TBS played a Bon Jovi video before the game, because one of the teams is close to New Jersey. A screencap is above.
