Pluralization We Can’t Believe In

The Grand Old Party has put out a series of email Valentine’s Day cards to celebrate tomorrow’s annual swap of greeting cards by couples. My girlfriend sent me the above one.

She knows me too well. It’s everything I love! Let’s see: Horrible political humor (with bonus points for a months-old reference), bitter politicians complaining about losing an election and, of course, an hilariously poor job at pluralization. Awesome, Republican Party. Simply awesome.

You can always count on the ignorant wingnuts for inappropriate apostrophes.

Bad grammar aside, what is their fixation with ACORN? Do they really think the way to undermine Obama (presumably to win future elections but mostly just for the fun of it) is to relentlessly hammer away on an issue nobody gives a shit about? Can I expect the GOP to send me a a Christmas card “from” Bill Ayers too?

Maybe the Christmas card from Bill Ayers can have a bomb on it! Naah, that’s probably not the smartest idea.

Hey, at least the GOP’s fixation is only on five month old news. For the longest time, they were still stuck in 1998 and Bill Clinton.

…Much like Leno, come to think of it. Maybe Leno’s staff is writing the GOP’s jokes?
