Bob Brady Saves Americans From Crappy Chinese Souvenirs
But while Bob Ney renamed french fries to get back at France while in the position, Bob Brady has now focused his ire on foreign nations that make crap that should, in all seriousness, really be American made. Specifically, Brady put a ban on foreign-made trinkets in the Capitol Hill gift shops. Let’s get a quote from WHYY:

Bob Brady didn’t end up a total loser when he lost in the mayoral primary back in ‘07. As head of the House Administration Committee (”The Mayor of Capitol Hill”), Brady wields a decent amount of power, especially now with a Democratic president. 
That’s why I voted for Brady!
Oh, wait, I didn’t.
I really did vote for Mike Muhammad. Me and 20,587 other Philadelphians (8.89 percent of voters). I would love to hear their reasonings.
What timing!! Yesterday, I started writing a letter to my Rep., Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey. Here are the opening paragraphs:
Since we get so much shoddy, dangerous junk made in China that has caused illness and death to people and animals (melamine, lead, diethylene glycol or DEG, God knows what else), I have become more and more suspicious of products made in China.
I recently ordered these microwavable baking pans from Publishers Clearing House. They came yesterday and when I opened the box, the first thing I saw was a gold MADE IN CHINA sticker on them. I suddenly realized that with what might be harmful in the manufacturing of these pans could feasibly leech into the food in the microwave.
I’m writing you as my Representative and suggesting we do what Rep. Bob Brady (PA) suggests. China has no safety standards to speak of, and when their manufacturers make stuff that hurts and kills people (infants’ formula a couple months ago), they are sentenced to DEATH, or they commit suicide. Better we stop taking in so much crap from China and make and buy American! In this economy, it’s time.
Good for Rep. Bob Brady for his stand on the souvenirs made in China! I think he should go a step further and keep all Chinese-made goods to a bare minimum. Maybe you both can work together on such a bill.
