Phillies Postgame Live: TV’s Surprise Fall Hit

The Philadelphia Business Journal notes the high number of viewers who tuned in around midnight for Phillies Postgame (no space) Live on Comcast SportsNet:

The show attracted an average of 98,000 households and peaked at midnight with 155,000 households, according to Maureen C. Quiltner, director of communications for the Philadelphia-based Comcast SportsNet.

During the regular season, “Phillies Postgame Live” averaged 80,000 households.

This was a show that was so enthralling it spent several minutes each on interviews with Chris Wheeler (above, with Marshall Harris) and Dallas Green. And hundreds of thousands of people were watching at midnight. Well done, Phillies fans. Well done.

The Phillies win was spectacular. How about some props for Carlos Ruiz? He called great games, his defense excellent, and he provided a number of timely hits.
