Phillies: Pixelated Fonts, Gary Papa, Celebration Analysis And The NE

Hey, nice font rasterization, Philly.com! Is that what it’s called? Maybe? Yeah? Anyway, the site front is really weird. Also on 6 ABC, Gary Papa said something like, “All of the things the Phillies fans have seen, the Victorino grand slam, the Matt Stairs home run, the passing of Charlie Manuel’s mother…” Yes, I remember when I saw that.

On Comcast SportsNet Michael Barkann asked Leslie Guidel if tonight’s celebration was “as subdued” as the one after the NLDS. Then they shilled some shirts for the Phillies and announced the Modell’s at Broad and Snyder had just opened to sell Phillies pennant gear. This is why sports are worth it: Not because your team winning makes you feel happy (it does), but because the things around it are always so hilarious.

And: there are about a million people in the streets at Cottman and Frankford. (Okay, a couple thousand.) Oh, the Northeast. I still love you, too.
