Aaay, Whoa, The Phillies Are Up
The Phillies didn’t even get destroyed in the celebrity battle. David Boreanz (son of weatherman Dave Roberts, in the background pregame) read the Phillies lineup; he was countered by Henry Winkler, aka The Fonz, for the Dodgers. Tim Allen is in the background. And, hey, there’s Penn and Daily Pennsylvanian alum Ken Rosenthal reporting from the sidelines. And there’s Scott Boras in the stands. And Tim McCarver is talking about an incentive-laden deal that sounds impossible. And the Dodgers are getting all the attention but Cole Hamels is absolutely destroying the LA lineup. This is just how you want it, isn’t it? |

Um, yeah. Jimmy Rollins led off the game with a homer to right and Phillies got two more runs on singles by Howard and Burrell in the third. It’s 3-0, and the 2008 pennant is looking closer and closer.
