Philadelphia Will Do

Philly.com’s Quest For A Traffic Spike

Ah, yeah, the current Philly.com front is the kind of thing that gets put into museums of pure awesomeness. It was great when I woke up this morning, but since then it’s only gotten about 100 times better. My personal favorite part came when I realized that none of these people pictured are even all that remotely famous, but the new photo arrangement is completely amazing, too.

A friend and reader chimes in: “I think getting Kidd Chris’ thoughts on the whole ordeal puts it over the top. There are just so many layers. It’s getting to the point where I no longer think, ‘Oh, the paper i once loved,’ and instead think ‘Well, this is pretty hilarious.’”

Bravo, Philly.com.

AND they misspelled Suzy Shuster’s name in their rush for awesomeness…

The story is on CNN, MSNBC and a host of other national sites. They are famous now. Plus they are famous in Philly, I mean really, do you think anyone outside of Philadelphia knows Chase Utley, but the Philly fans cream over the guy. It’s all relative. This is a great story, you can’t just make up stuff like this.

    PCC, that is total non-sense.

I know who Albert Puljos is, I know who Manny Ramirez is, I know who Alphozo Soriano, and believe me people outside Philly know who Chase Utley is, he is the best 2nd baseman in the league.

On the other hand I can’t name a single local news anchor in Cincinnati, Boston or Chicago.

And trust me; Larry Mendte couldn’t hit 35 HRs in a hundred years, let alone in one season.
