That reader has unknowingly validated the career and salary of every copy desk editor who has ever argued usage with a writer.
When one considers that D-Mac has been writing this thing for something like 3 years, it is clear that we have, in fact, settled.
so thats how its supposed to read.

I’m surprised the Daily News commenter took greater exception to the fact that the newspaper isn’t daily than that it isn’t news.
I don’t understand the negativity here. It is clearly positive. It’s not “Philadelphia won’t do.” It’s “Philadelphia will DO!” … and then the rest is implied:
Philadelphia will DO! and MAKE! and SEE and SAY and PROCLAIM!
PWD = HOORAY FOR PHILADELPHIA
Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia should change its name too… its overcast today.
I’ll take D-Mac over Hickey any day. Nothing personal against Hickey, I’m just not a fan.
It is also worth noting that perpetuating the idea that Philadelphia labors under some kind of inferiority complex is not the way to get rid of said complex.
Also, happy, don’t forget “Philadelphia Will DO!… YOU!”
Though I believe that bit only applies under the El.
