Chicago Repeals Foie Gras Ban

Chicago has repealed its foy grass ban. City Council voted 36-6 to get rid of the ban on fattened duck/goose liver, which probably means more annoying articles about protesters in Philadelphia coming soon. Thanks, Rob

    Holy crap! That means Chicago’s City Council has at least 42 members on it. Oh how I wish Philly had that mammoth of a clusterfuck running it.

    Remember that Chicago has almost twice Philly’s population. 42 council members is 1.46 per 100k population, versus Philly’s 1.17.

    Point taken, but also not that Los Angeles has a population of 4 million (quite a bit bigger than Chicago) and only 15 members on its City Council. So population size doesn’t always translate to the number of Council members.

    42 members still seems like a clusterfuck to me. Almost as clusterfucky as New York’s City Council.
