Stop-And-Frisk On Its Way!

The supervisors also encourage officers to be clever and resourceful about using even minor infractions - something as routine as spitting, littering, loitering, or holding an open container of alcohol - as a rationale to stop a suspect person and conduct a legal frisk.

Woo-hoo! Are you as psyched as I am, Philly, for stop-and-frisk? I know, I know, I’m white, so it’s unlikely I’ll ever be searched by a cop on the street, but, hey, I can kind of get into the spirit as well. The cops got training yesterday, and I used to spit on the street when I was 13, so maybe I’ll pick the habit back up again so I can get searched for weapons!

    I know a white guy in West Philly who’s been stopped and frisked twice. Maybe they were fulfilling their quota or something.
