Buying Your Way To Happiness

The hell?

A recent study found that people who buy more than three pairs of sneakers a year are 61% more likely to have the qualities of a modern leader.

The hell?

“A heel automatically to me resembles power. In a heel you feel taller, stronger. And a flat always says ‘I’m comfortable with who I am.’”

No, really. What the hell?

Friends Roslyn, Janelle, and Michele were shopping for shoes:

“I’m looking for cowboy boots.”

(Durham): “What does that say about your personality?”

“I like to ride horses.”

Okay, that’s enough. This clearly is a prank story, placed on KYW 1060’s website in order to fool me and maybe a few other bloggers. Right? RIGHT???

Now I”m off to buy some running shoes, immediately turning me into an Olympic champion.

Ask any 8 year old and they will tell you that new sneakers automatically make you run faster and jump higher. It’s just fact.
