Larry Bowa Still Bonkers

Larry Bowa didn’t wait long to get thrown out of his first game of the season. The former Phillies shortstop and manager was ejected for being out of the coaches’ box — apparently a stupid new rule to fix a problem no one was having, usually more of a pro football tradition — and then went ballistic on umpire Ed Montague.

He even threw Gatorade all over the dugout afterward after the 40-second argument, showing his players what kind of composure it takes to succeed at the big league level. Video after the jump.

Why is he wearing a batting helmet?

The batting helmet is another new rule since some minor league coach last year died after getting hit by a line drive.
