SEPTA: Our Buses Are First #1!

A reader sends in a scan of SEPTA’s April TransPass. You will note SEPTA not only has “green” buses, but they are so green they needed a few extra modifying words to distinguish them from other trans agencies.

Thanks, RJ!

    This is also a lie.
Having 32 buses is like pissing in the ocean.
Other transit properties, most notably New York’s are serious about integration of clean air technologies and are replacing their diesel buses with everything from hybrid to CNG buses as the diesel buses end their service life.

You should have your newspaper look into the false claims that SEPTA is making and take them to task for it since they seem to love the smelly, polluting diesel bus and have limited services compared to other transit properties.

Nothing’s worse than the smelly Penn shuttle buses that keep farting around University City.

SEPTA must really think that their rider’s are idiots. Well alot of them are, but that’s besides the point.

Not only are the 32 Hybrids is like pissing in the ocean, SEPTA phased out Trackless Trolley service in South Philly and then tried to pass the Hybrids off as a valuable replacement. they almost got away with it in the Northeast if it weren’t for city and community opposition.
