In A Pinch, Any Funny Clown Will Do
By popular demand, here is the photo in yesterday’s Daily News of Conrad Veidt, a film star from the first half of the 20th century. To be fair, that could totally be the Joker. But it looks more like Cesar Romero than Heath Ledger. But, hey! It’s not all that off. Veidt was in Anders als die Andern (Different from the Others), which Wikipedia says is “one of the first sympathetic portrayals of homosexuals in cinema.” Neat! |
