Ron Paul: Greatest American Ever?Little inside secret how this business works: Somebody sends out a blast email or Myspace to all the people in the entire world and all the regularly-updated Philly blogs see it and we all post it. If it’s not Milton Street knocking over a state store, sometimes I just don’t update it even if it’s a good story. (Here’s an exception.) By inside secret, of course, I mean common sense; yes, this is why everyone’s going to have to start doing more of their own reporting or telling the best lame jokes and posting puppies. (Dibs on the last one.) Some fun changes are coming and that is why things have been somewhat slower, blah blah blah; yes, I will update my links list. Anyway, Philebrity posted Down The Shore With Jen before I did a while back, and so I didn’t. (I knew they were going to beat me to it, too.) And I read it again today and it looks fun and it’s a book about the Jersey shore written by a young person in Collingswood. Yeah, it’s a guidebook, but, uh, how useful. Here’s an Amazon pre-order link. And it’s fun and well-reported and it’s the Jersey shore. “This is a great way to start your Sunday,” Jen Miller writes. Oh, look, it’s tied all together.

When you get some sleep and are able to absorb some truth then maybe you’ll look at Ron Paul a little closer. He’s the only candidate speaking the truth. Oh, I’m 50 and not a nerd but I thank god for the internet so we can get some unbiased news. The MSM sucks with their biased reporting and fake polls.
I guess being against war, big government and wanting freedom and liberty aren’t in these days! Guess I’m not with the in crowd then but Ron Paul cured my apathy!

I am also a Ron Paul supporter - A conservative, Christian woman whom is a wife, mother (of 6), marriage mentor in our church, a business owner, an employer and earner of a greater than 4 figure income. Hum, doesn’t sound like I fit the description of a Ron Paul supporter. One thing I love about Ron Paul. He message is one that touches a very diverse group of people, Americans. I guess its a “radical” thing to say we need warrants to arrest people, the IRS should be abolished (or at the least audited), we should bring our troops home and support a sound monetary system.
Its to bad that 200 years of dumbing down the average American has resulted in people who can’t even do simple arithmetic. WE CANNOT AFFORD TO BE THE WORLD POLICE.
I’m very disappointed that you’re saying good things about Ron Paul. If you’d just take the time to find out what he’s about and what he believes, you’d realize that he’s the worst possible candidate and shouldn’t be elected dog catcher, let alone president of the united states of america.

The more homework you do on Ron Paul, the more you agree with him. If you don’t agree with him, well you are entitled to your opinion, but then again, the mainstream media dn dumb pundits probably shape up your opinions. Good day sir :)

I think P/weekly is doing a great service in these times of censorship. I hope when we achieve a change from neocon politics we will see subscribers of the MSM whitewash programmes in the minority. The smart advertisers follow the readership which is increasing on honest news & related Ron Paul covered websites.

Actually, I got here from doing a news search for Ron Paul on google. Sucks we have to directly search for his name to get the political news about him, but thats just the way it is.
But putting Ron Paul in the name for traffic is like sooo 6 months ago. ;)

Hmm, dunno. I was just using this logic:
1. Somebody commented saying he was angry my posts were showing up in is B*rbaro alerts.
2. The people who have B*rbaro alerts are the same kind of people who might have Ron Paul alerts. (Pry not the same person; Ron Paul is pro-horse torture between consenting non-foals I assume.)
3. Ron Paul people comment on my posts after finding out about them via Google alerts.

Oh my… I guess I’ve gone nerd at 41! My kids would love that. I’d like to see our kids and service members who have bravely volunteered their time to DEFEND our liberties and our CONSTITUTION not be used in global policing and empire building–and to come home alive, not in body bags. Study some history, study Ron Paul’s voting record and find out why he has the support of such a broad range of people… which includes our veterans, military & military families. Ron Paul is a joke, and his supporters only make him look worse. It is interesting to note that there is no such thing as a casual supporter of Paul. Every post I read from a Paulite is aggressive and sensational in its defense of the great “Dr. Ron Paul.” All the conspiratorial rants don’t help their case either.
I for one would like to read a post from a Paul supporter that is intelligent and objective in nature; one that doesn’t refer to the Constitution multiple times per post. (It’s not that I don’t like the constitution, I just get sick of people who believe we should consult the document every morning as we decide whether we should eat Wheaties or Cheerios for breakfast.)

I refuse to vote for Ron Paul because I don’t understand any of what he says. It’s all Greek to me and it makes my head spin. I think he needs to learn how to communicate with and connect to the average Joe Sixpack before he stands any chance of getting elected.
Most of us could care less about inflation and whether a dollar is worth the same as a pound of gold. He needs to start talking more about where he stands regarding the death penalty, abortion, gay marriage, as well as whether or not he supports helping the poor. At that point I might think about whether or not I want to vote for him.

This is for Brad aka Joe six pack. What Ron Paul represents is a way of life that use to be the norm. You do not care about inflation? Understand this Our current dollar today would have been worth .02 cents in 1913. What they now call the Federal Reserve is no more federal than Federal Express. It is a company that stole Americas gold and silver and replaced it with the so-called Federal Reserve Note. The dollar is backed by nothing more than a worthless promise. We pay taxes to this establisment in the form of interest. If our government would print their own money guess what..you would owe no taxes. This tax that we pay does not go to education, roads, te poor, etc. It goes to a hand full of super wealthy families. Our government needs more money, the great counterfieters print more up or add to it electronicly. This means Joe Six pack cant buy as much beer, etc. Ron Paul wants to restore to our country what is called freedom. Freedom to own your home without taxes. A home that is yours for as long as you desire to live there. Freedom of speech, where you can say what you feel without fear of being thrown in jail, as has happened when people just wear a t-shirt saying they do not believe what they are being told by their President whern he goes to different states for his causes, it has happened many times. Abortion,gay marrage, are issues used to silence real issues, like our country being dismanteled and bring in Mexico and Canada. Ron Paul stands for all of these things and much more. Face it the new word liberal use to mean socialist, communist, etc. On the extreem right you have neo-cons, much like the Hitler movement. We are seeing a man who will try to undo what has been done since 1913. The loss of jobs, uncontrolled spending, the loss of the middle class as a class is all by design. Many people feel they have become failures. The people are not failures, the government in power now has failed us and it’s important that people understand this fact. To bring us back to the original intent of the founding fathers will make all Americans free. We are no longer a free society. We have become a slave class. For most people, they think America is a democracy. We are a Republic. This is how far we have been dumbed down. Ron Paul is right to bring our boys and girls home. We no longer have the money to support our Empire around the world. You do not give a people a choice to choose to be a so called democracy when they have to look down at the end of a gun barrel. The liberal news media will not tell you how many of our troops have committed susicide over there. We have been lied to for so long now. It is time now for the government to give us an honest account of what is really going on. The government seems to forget they serve us, we do not serve them. My fear is, that if we continue down this road. Our judgement as a nation is soon to follow. Ron Paul is our last bastion of hope, at least he is for me. You want to vote for the same old families that have been in office for decades. I am tired of the so-called elite families of our government. We need change for the good not for the statis quo. It does not take a rocket scientist to look up all the canidates records. If they were for illegal aliens, trust me they still are. Professional liars, that have never done an honest days work in decades. Just a little food for thought to go with that six pack.
