Ron Paul Supporters Have New Place To Yell

011508ronpaul.jpg

It’s only been a few days since Ron Paul supporters tried to ruin a woman’s life, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t track future Paultardian threats to our way of life. Presidential candidate/King of the Internet Ron Paul, as you may know, is best known for his band of supporters who will literally rip out your intestines if you don’t vote for him. Now they have a new place to congregate!

The Friends of Independence Park have just installed the “People’s Plaza” at Independence Hall. The concrete slab is supposed to be a place for protesting, which is what this nation was founded on but is now looked down upon. The Friends, apparently, are for protesting, and so they raised funds to make a place where people could yell at the world while standing on the first amendment carved into the ground.

This Saturday’s anti-war protest will be the first event at the granite and marble slab, according to the radio. The protesters also had to get a permit for the event, which is just what the First Amendment requires. Ron Paul for king!

I think that’s the spot where there was a pro-war rally a couple of weeks ago. Mothers with their kids and really fat men were holding signs thanking our troops. Sadly, no troops were in sight but I hope news of their demonstration reached Iraq.

You forgot to mention how 2000-3000 people had a rally on 11/10/07 in that very spot for Ron Paul. You also have no idea what his movement is about because king is the polar opposite to what he wants. He wants small federal government and limited federal power, just like the founding fathers. It’s called research and you should do some before you publish an article. But thanks for the heads up on the anti-war rally, you just guaranteed that at least 1000 Ron Paul supporters will be there.

  8. William D. Charleston Says: Jan 15 12:40 PM

First, to the first anonymous commenter, military can’t go to anti-war rallies or any type of political events in uniform…i would know because i’m one of them

and i second what dave said….you really read up on the issues before being allowed to have an opinion…you obviously have no clue to what is happening to this country right now

    WAKE UP!!!

Donate to Ron Paul, Jan.21st, MLK Jr. Day :)

  9. Makoto Ogawa Says: Jan 15 12:53 PM

I believe in Ron Paul and will continue to do so! Ron Paul 2008!

  10. Tony Andrews Says: Jan 15 12:54 PM

Forgetting to count votes is a pretty big thing. Every candidate’s supporters should be extremely concerned when ANY votes ‘disappear’. It’s totally unacceptable in a democratic society, where a person’s vote is the only say that person has in their government, to allow cast votes to go missing. Criticizing those who are apoplectic because the vote they cast may not have been counted is un-American, disgusting and irresponsible at the very least.

Just because you don’t like the candidate doesn’t mean the candidate’s supporters shouldn’t have their votes counted. Next time, it could be your candidate.

And I agree with the previously expressed sentiment that all you did was use the name ‘Ron Paul’ to attract readers to your 3 muddled paragraphs of wasted words.

  11. floridapatriot Says: Jan 15 12:58 PM

your condescending remarks refering to United States Citizens as “Paultards” is typical for the “sheep” reviews. Newstainment always takes a fenderbender and makes catastrophy of it. The majority of people who support the messege of Ron Paul are not irrational. The majority are simply asking questions and learning about our situations. We are learning we have a bloated, intrusive, and many times unconstitutional government. Instead of personally attacking and belittling your fellow americans why not ask the difficult questions regarding our government’s unconstitutional actions. I suspect because it is a much more difficult road to travel… easier to make fun of passionate people.

  12. annie Says: Jan 15 1:00 PM

And this is Ron Pauls fault, why? Do you not think that all candidates have a diverse group of supporters. What about Hillary or Obama? Dont you think if you checked all their voters you would find some nuts? You would find liars, perverts, etc, but it does not reflect the candidate. I think supporters of Paul feel desperate because he doesnt get a fair shake in the media. He is left out of debates, talked to rudely when asked “questions” in the debates, and hidden from the mainstream media. Mccain can make racist remarks from the podium and you will not be able to find one news report on it. When fox reairs the debates, they actually edit out his applause and the rude comments the hosts make to him. (Yes, check youtube and watch the original clips) The only way Dr. Paul makes the news is if some low life digs up dirt on him, regardless of if its true.I think if he was treated fairly, you would not see so many emotional, upset people. Imagine if Hillary was excluded from a debate. Do you honestly think there would be no mob formed????

Incredible. The tallest building in NYC gets hit by lightning frequently. Maybe Ron Paul is just a “lightning rod of hate.” That’s what happens when you stand head and shoulders above the rest…!

“Paultardian threats to our way of life.”

Thank god the scared people in this country finally found a good “name” to hurl at us… Paultardian, I love it. The name reminds me of being in high school, or better yet, grade school.

As for “our way of life” HOW DARE YOU! It’s precisely our way of life that us PaulGUARDIANS are looking our for. We want to guard the constitution and all that it stands for. The movement is based on this, that our civil liberties are at stake. Everything else, our hotdogs, movies, credit disasters, money problems, red white and blue is nothing compared to our civil liberties.

    GET AN F$%*ING CLUE!

it sickens me to see journalism dead.

  18. Robert Says: Jan 15 1:26 PM

My wife (who is deploying to Iraq for the 3rd time in March) and I are both active duty military. Fortunately, she’ll only be away from our 14 month old son Alex for 6 months this time around. For this and many other reasons Ron Paul has my vote. I will also be donating to his campaign again on the 21st to show my support. No amount of mudslinging or outright blacklisting by the Mainstream Media will change the fact that Ron Paul is the only candidate that represents real change and hope for America.

  19. Marcus Says: Jan 15 1:26 PM

Ron Paul is unassailable on his voting record. Ron Paul’s policy platform consists of nothing more “fringe” or “radical” than adherence to the US Constitution. People of every ethnic and racial stripe who have ever known or worked with Ron Paul testify in unison to his unquestionable integrity and honesty. They will tell you that the man is Founding Father material, a national treasure.

And you attack him and his supporters.

If it is true that people are generally motivated by fear, ask yourself what you’re afraid of. If it is also true that at one time you aspired to journalism, ask yourself what happened to your dream?

    Go Ron Paul!

  20. Dave Says: Jan 15 1:41 PM

I’m not a Ron Paul supporter though I do like some of his policies and ideas. I do also think that he does get an unfair shake in the media.

That being said, when you take actions to support a candidate you should think before you do. Because weather you like it or not your actions reflect upon your candidate. Go ahead and cheer for your candidate and talk up his good points but harassing a lady or chasing down Sean Hannity in a angry mob (even though he is an ass) won’t make your candidate look good.

Before you act you shoul think, would Ron Paul call up and harass a lady? Would Ron Paul chase down Sean Hannity in an angry mob? I’ve never heard of him doing such things but if he does that’s another reason I’d have not to vote for him.

Speaking about lightning rod of hate, seen the Twin Tower’s lately?

What breeds hatred better than anything is to attack and kill women and children. To date: the USA has slaughtered 150,000 people in Iraq to rid that desert of Saddam Hussein, the leader we supported to war against Iran.

Wake up America, you have become like those you hate. Hatred always does that.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we just hauled off and attacked some other nation without any defined goal. Just hit them, and then surge.

Shock and awe, then surge, go Dubya, go!

Burn them munitions, and while you are at it, drop 20 billion worth of new weapons on Israel’s enemies, it’s great for our export numbers. Also export more pallets of 100 dollar bills. What a great idea?

Take a look at your nation’s actions since the CIA started war-avoidance through covert ops.

Our 40 year cold war was a gestation period for the KGB mentality to spread throughout our Pentagon.

I’m not surprised we have the Patriot act.
I’m not surprised we have invaded Iraq.
I’m not surprised we have invaded Afghanistan.
I’m not surprised we have torture camps outside the law of our nation.
I’m not surprised we have the media selling fear.

    Wonkette Definition of a Paultard:

“A trollish conspiracy theorist who pretends to be smart by engaging the most batshit issues of Ron Paul instead of actually being intelligent and engaging the current political reality. The Paultard is a humorless, CGI-based spambot who cannot suffer a word of criticism of the Dr. Paul, and will lash out at all attackers in grammarless, inane, all-caps screeds. The Paultard makes blimps that no one can read, donates millions of dollars needlessly during the last days of the election, and then makes up its debts by printing Paultard Dollars. You can catch them on YouTube a lot being stupid.”

Ron Paul is a decent candidate, but by no means a political messiah. You crazy f-n Paultards really need to get yourselves a life and stop this stupid propaganda. The man has very questionable experience, no concrete plan for economic reform or improving foreign policy, other than destroying the entire governmental infrastructure which you all refuse to admit actually in most cases keeps the country operating. You are like children who go to college for one semester and then come back and try to convince everyone of how enlightened you’ve become because you read one book and sat in a drum circle for a few hours having a political conversation.

If you want to support Ron Paul, go for it. But all this ridiculous propaganda and BS posting does nothing but make an undecided voter such as myself have ABSOLUTELY NO INTEREST WHATSOEVER in voting for Ron Paul, for no other reason than because you people really annoy the living s*** out of me.

    Whew… that feels good.

The CBS site says the slab is an “official” place for people to protest. Having read the way this article was written, I wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes the “only” place for people to protest in the near future - after having paid for the proper permit to protest, that is. When did the people of this country have to get permission to assemble and protest? I don’t remember seeing that in the First Amendment.

Long live the Constitution of the United States of America.

    > “OMG… I was trying so hard to stay away from > this but reading some of these asinine comments > is infuriating.

    > Whew… that feels good.”

You could have saved yourself some time and left out the rest of your comments.

I understand you are confused and can’t decide. If I only had to choose from the list of candidates you have, I’d be undecided as well.

I have looked at each Presidential candidate the same way, “What do they understand that I don’t.”

I try and learn why it makes sense to surge in Afghanistan and leave Africa alone to fester and die.

I have yet to get it, but I’m sure some day it will alll make sense, but right now I seem confused and I am open for some explanations.

Instead all I see is a debate that never happens. HRC says Obama says McCain is wrong about Romney when he puts down Huckabee about the last polling numbers being momentum for Thompson.

Beware of humans in large groups.
