All Pennsylvania Does Is Discount Bridges
Since the state has a ton of old bridges that are falling apart and would be pointless to fix, they’ve come up with a novel way to get rid of them: Sell them to the highest bidder. The term “highest bidder” is a bit of a misnomer here; the state sold a bridge in 2001 for $22. PennDOT has a bunch of bridges listed on the website; you can apparently buy them if you have the money to take them away. The bridges will probably collapse eventually because a ton of them are made out of parchment; please be careful. |
