Philadelphia Will Do

Tonight On CBS 3! (Not Alycia Lane!)

Ahh, the beauty of the first post-Alycia Lane promo (or whatever). This is from today.

CBS 3 is in a tough spot. It’s good to see the station got such a scoop to keep people’s minds off Alycia. If you’re wondering, I’m totally sad over Ms. Lane now. Stay strong, girl.

Alycia Lane deserves to lose her job, but she also should be given time to redeem herself.

Here is a WNBC story from this evening about Ms. Lane.

SHUT UP ABOUT ALYCIA LANE ALREADY!

God-damn it, isn’t there anything more important or interesting to report on, like maybe those 6 murders last week and how the police actually made 6 arrests? Maybe something about how idiotic the Philadelphia Metro is for focusing on the “State of Black Philadelphia” Report?

All the crap Councilman Darrell Clarke is trying to pass, like that idiotic restaurant zoning bill, his banning of “offensive” images, or the very fact he’s trying to pass a law to track when you buy beer, cigarettes, and Sharpies?

There’s a TON of more interesting things than a stupid f$@king story about a stupid f#$king local reporter!

    Hi, Anonymous.

You must be new here. Here at PWD, there is nothing more important that Alycia Lane. See, Ms. Lane has a special place in our hearts since the bikini incident and, well, if you haven’t been around much you just wouldn’t get it.

Oodles of holiday love and cheer,

Actually, Kerri-Lee Halkett said “we love D-Mac” on TV, so I’m way more into her. However, I shall address this comment!

    - To be honest, I’ve ignored the State of Black Philadelphia report, since its conclusions seem a bit too obvious. I like the idea, though, that the media (or at least Metro) is focusing on that instead of some problems that might be easier to fix, like how 78 percent of marijuana users arrested last year were black. But, you know, drugs.

    - The murder thing (9 fewer than last year at this time!) is encouraging, I guess, but what am I going to write? When I write about murder, I’m not really sure what jokes I can actually make and I’m accused of “being worse than that cop killer” in emails. Actually, that’s pretty awesome; I should write about murder again. Thanks for the suggestion.

    - I have written about Darrell Clarke’s stupid plans to regulate the entire world many times, though I sadly did not mention Larry West’s protest of Clarke’s noose bill.

I take umbrage with this — can you do anything with umbrage but take it? — actually; if there’s one thing I try to keep on top of, it’s making fun of City Council. Too bad Movable Type 3.2’s archive code is printed on parchment.
