Marijuana Eradicated From Philadelphia Streets

Sorry, pot smokers! A City Line bust of particularly potent marijuana has completely shut down the supply of marijuana in Philadelphia, and it simply won’t be available anymore. Score one for the War on Drugs!

Philadelphia police arrested 24-year-old Michael Cascioli and say they seized $1.4 million worth of marijuana and ’shrooms from his City Ave. apartment. The cops also say the seized marijuana was of the AK-47 variety, which is, like, almost as good as Purple Haze. (Or maybe it’s better? We got a copy of The Big Book of Buds: Volume 3 (really) in the office recently, so perhaps I will scan though and take a look.)

The MJ was destined for rich Main Line pot smokers, so between this and the Reid kids, white drug users are under attack from the government.

Anyway, the cops wasted six weeks on this investigation because it’s for the children, according to this hilarious lie in the CBS 3 report:

Police said the drugs would typically end up in the hands of wealthy teens who would often end up in the hospital due to the potency of the pot.

Anyway, with this bust, the War on Marijuana is finally over. Marijuana no longer exists, at least in Philadelphia; we’ve finally won the war. Sales of Teddy Grahams are expected to plummet.

The CBS article is horribly misleading, reeks of scaremongering, and frankly it’s very poor journalism. First of all, marijuana has never killed a single person in written history. I challenge you to find a single case where it has. Aside from those very few people who freak out because they use too much, people don’t go to the hospital for overdosing on pot because it’s physically impossible to do so via smoking it.

Second, if pot were legalized and regulated, kids and teenagers would have a much harder time getting it. Under prohibition, drug dealers are under no obligation to card your son or daughter (indeed they can take advantage of them and charge even more for lower quality product than they could to an adult), but the local 7-11 or “pot shop” would.

Third, pot has been this potent has been around for a long time, especially out in places like California where it’s legal for medical use, and there has been no influx of teenagers or adults there because they smoked too much pot. The reports of the studies claiming that potency has jumped ridiculous amounts are even more misleading - they fail to mention that their measurements were using the lowest quality marijuana from the 1970’s and the highest quality from this millennium.

Lastly, if pot were decriminalized in the city of Philadelphia (where people aren’t getting arrested for having an ounce or less), the police could actually spend their time stopping the horrendous murders that’ve been plaguing the city, rather than spend all their time processing someone who was caught with a single joint.

Thank you Derek for being intelligent in this sea of retards named Philadelphia…

Saying that marijuana is more potent nowadays, is itself a VERY dumb statement. Let me make a simple comparison for the uninformed people out there.

Which is sweeter, a glass of fresh juice squeezed out of the orange, or a glass of concentrated OJ? Uhh it’s the same thing with the herbs. Back in the day, and still when u get crap brick weed, the plant was mass produced, and treated like, well, a weed. It was smashed and not taken care of. Nowadays it is much more likely to go directly from source to the person enjoying its benefits. Don’t believe me? Plant a seed of ‘high grade’ and a seed of ’swag’. There will be some differences, but barely any. In fact sometimes the ’swag’ seed will be more potent!

Hey I got an idea! Lets maybe LEGALIZE marijuana, it to take away the entire criminal element from it! Then maybe it will drop in price from being more expensive than Gold, and thieves and robbers wont kill each other for it! Yeah how about we flood Philly with good herbs, and let the youth relax and chill out instead of killing each other because they are too hyped up on the drugs and chemicals that big corporations pump into the city streets with no regard for the result (im talking about chemicals in food, processed sugars, and general lack of nutrition found in most processed food, which results in stress and limited mental capacity - these are facts, ask any nutritionist how much a good diet would be to kids and their ability to learn and cooperate)

Yeah! Hey how about instead of wasting our hard earned tax dollars going after marijuana distributors, you should SPEND MORE MONEY ON EDUCATION SO THE YOUTH HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE SOMETHING OF THEIR LIVES. You all want to ignore them when they are growing, and now you fear them cause of what they are capable of! Wake up!!!

In fact, if you just legalized marijuana, then you could spend that all that money and time and police resources on HEROIN, COCAINE, E, and all those other man made chemical dealers, who do the real damage!

Lastly, ALLMIGHTY GOD made this plant. It was created at creation along with the rest of the plants on the planet. It was NOT bioengineered, has never been created in a lab, and is TOTALLY MADE BY GOD FOR MAN. It was created for a purpose, just like the rest of creation. Just like you and me! In fact, as a biblical literalist, 1 John tells me that it was the Son, our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus by and through whom ALL things are created!. Sit down with a Bible and show me where creation was changed, and where ‘different’ plants were created? And don’t argue that it could have been created by human selection by ‘breeding’ this plant, because HERB seeds have been found in Egypt 6000 years ago!?! It was made as GOD’s remedy for stress and tension. Not the CHEMICALS that are legal now that have been MADE BY MAN. Creation over chemicals!

And I say without apology that 99.99999% of people having an ‘ANXIETY ATTACK’ on marijuana, is because they have a major stressfull situation that they are running away from, and the stress of that cause them to bug out. I am speakign from experience. Also, when people MIX God’s herb with drugs and alchohol, the effects of those drugs are heightened because the person becomes more aware of themself when they smoke herb, and more often than not, it is the toxicity of these chemicals that make someone sick.

STOP THE WAR ON THE HERB OF THE NATION. LEGALIZE GOD’s CREATION.

ps the only reason it will never be legal, is because it is SO SIMPLE for anyone to grow! And the system can’t tax you if you are growing your own medicine!!! So don’t let them trick you! It is a medical-insurance-system scam to force you to be dependant on the medicine man! Grow your own! Relax! Take it easy! Don’t fuss and fight! Live right!

    To Intelligent Creation!:

While I agree with 99% of what you wrote, the fact is that legalized and regulated, it will be very taxable. Pot will be like tomatoes: most people will try to grow it, think it’s cool a couple of times, then realize they can’t compete with the quality they get at the local headshop and get lazy about it. There will always be a few hardcore hobbyist growers, just like there are for beer brewers, but even hobbyist beer brewers grab a Heineken or a Yeungling when they’re out. The government will be able to rake in the income on this one if it’s given an excise tax (which I don’t necessarily agree with, personally I think only sales tax is prudent, but I digress).

the WOD is a waste of tax revenue, a waste of logistical resources, and it wastes lives. what does it take for the people to realize this?!?

  8. MICHAEL CORLICHINI Says: Jan 6 2:08 AM

Wow all I can say is wow. The war on drugs is a great thing because it sends people like me who are respectful, nice , well mannered, law abiding(with the exception of the marijuana thing), and doing something positive with my life off the street where we can be a threat to … well i guess responsible people who would rather smoke pot than alcohol.

ONCE A SNITCH ALWAYS A SNITCH.

I HOPE THEY CAN LIVE WITH THEMSELVES.

AND TO THE OFFICERS INVOLVED ON THAT CASE, I HOPE THIS MAKES YOU FEEL VERY GOOD, BEATING INFORMATION OUT OF PEOPLE AND THREATENING AS WELL. KARMA IS IN FULL EFFECT. CHECK OUT THE NEWS AND SEE HOW MANY COPS ARE GETTING SHOT RECENTLY.

    GOD BLESS

I would like to see one report, just one, of a person who was admitted to any hospital for smoking this particular strain of weed. When the police make statements like this it is up to responsible journalists to investigate these claims and ferret out the truth. It is a well known fact that when the police arrest anyone for any drug the monetary value is grossly inflated for federal funding purposes and to make the dealer seem ‘dangerous’. I am a literate relatively successful person but according to the rationale of the ‘war on drugs’ I need to be put behind bars with rapists and murders to ‘protect society’ and of course to protect me from myself. Oh yeah, lets not forget about all that great ‘rehabilitation’ I would receive in prison. The ‘war on drugs’ has caused unnecessary suffering and damage to the POW’s of the war on drugs.

In my experience, the vast majority of people smoke pot, but we have to remain anonymous or we’ll be arrested, right? I would like to see all of the potheads march on Washington, that would probably be at least a hundred million people. But instead we stay home and smoke in our closets because if any word gets out, the officials come for blood. I think we’re viewed as inferior, and we’re put away for that. Well, the African-Ams won their equality, women won their equality, it’s time we win ours too. Now, somebody else lead the charge, I don’t want to be arrested.
