Cops Say Man Made Up Tip
Hey, here’s a way to get a hold of your girlfriend: Pretend you helped murder a cop! Yes, Shawn Williams told police the day after police officer Chuck Cassidy was shot that he drove the killer to the murder scene. Police spent a few hours with him Nov. 1, and cops felt they were close to apprehending someone. Turns out Williams was lying and was implicating an old friend from high school who had nothing to do with the murder. Why did lie to the cops? “He wanted extra attention from his girlfriend,” the Daily News said. Uhh, what? He’s charged with hindering apprehension and related crimes. |
