Iverson: Celebrities Always Being Hounded About Their Dogfighting Operations

Noted criminologist Allen Iverson held his annual Allen Iverson Summer Classic down in Virginia over the weekend, and, of course, came to the defense of noted alleged dog abuser Mike “Ron Mexico” Vick.

“It’s always been like that from day one since there was sports,” he said. “There was always a bull’s-eye on us. Everybody doesn’t love athletes. Some people feel like we’re spoiled. Some people feel that because we are rich, we think we are above the law, we’re better than everybody else.

“But it’s not like that, but some people perceive us that way. And they give us a hard time about it.”

Iverson then said some on-point stuff about athletes unfairly being expected to give up their old friends once they make it big, but let’s just focus on the stupid shit.

Kill - no torture - a poor defenseless animal and AI thinkgs that’s a good thing? He thinks that makes a man a man? Sad Sad human he his. If he couldn’t get that damn ball in the hoop he’d be just another thug on the streets. And maybe really in a jail with the door closed and not key to open it. Oh maybe with a really angry pit bull that survived the HELL of vick-land.

Hearing Iverson support Vick, telling him to “keep his head up” and that they’d both been “targeted” shows Iverson to be out of touch.

“Targeting” of Vick didn’t cause him to buy a property to fight dogs. It didn’t cause him to execute those dogs. It didn’t lead him to okay the electrocution of a dog.

“Keep your head up”?! What? Be a proud animal abuser? Do what Jeffrey Dahmer did!?

Iverson and Emmitt Smith both have ruined themselves in my eyes for their public support of this man’s behavior and their insinuations that they’ve been targeted somehow. Don’t want to get convicted of dog fighting? Don’t fight dogs.
