State Trooper To Take Control Of N.J. In Coup
When we last left the New Jersey state troopers, they were planning to launch a ticket blitz against the public for being mean to them for not killing Jon Corzine. The troopers’ ticket blanketing apparently isn’t going through since messageboard chatter was reported by The Jersey Guys, some (probably annoying) radio DJs. But State police union leader David Jones wouldn’t have any of that, and last week responded by publicly releasing radio host Craig Carton’s address and license plate number. He says the information came from a reliable source. Well, obviously. Jones says he was only trying to show one of the “Jersey Guys” lives in Pennsylvania — Oh no! I expect complete integrity from my drive-time radio hosts! — but he was a little more forceful at the original press conference.
Later, he added this quote of the year:
Jones said he’d stop his campaign when some people told him he could probably get fired for it, but that he still felt he had done his job: “I don’t have the luxury of saying “I’ll just let a couple of guys get run over.’” Oh, and now it’s hard for troopers to do their jobs because people are contesting every ticket. Well, obviously. Trooper’s outburst gets state scrutiny [Camden Courier-Post] |

Interesting. Who is Jones? How is he connected to the story?
Sorry, somehow the first reference to him got deleted. Fixed it.
So the head of the Jersey State Troopers union intends to hunt down girl scouts and crush them like bugs.
Class act.
Isn’t Craig Carton a former WIP guy? I seem to remember him being the first member of the media to break the story that Norman Braman was selling the Eagles.
