Pa. Man No Longer Allowed To Hunt For Food
Ever spend time in your backyard — what the hell’s a backyard? — wondering just what would make your 4th of July cookout or Memorial Day hoedown even better? Well, there is a way: Have a hunter move in next door! A judge in Easton yesterday ordered a couple to stop shooting in the backyard of their Lower Saucon Township home. The preliminary injunction prevents the two die-hard hunters from firing at targets or pigeons or whatever. And why did the neighbors seek an injunction against the backyard hunters?
But things aren’t all odd quotes designed to elicit a “I wouldn’t like it” response. Township police filed 19 gun charges against the hunter, Richard Seruga, but 17 of them were thrown out since he didn’t violate any local gun laws. The township responded by banning shooting within 450 feet of any residence. Sergua is, naturally, claiming conspiracy and has filed a lawsuit. Ain’t this country grand? Yummy, dumpster squirrel!
I want to know what kind of weapon was he shooting?
If it was a BB-Gun so what?
If it was a semi-automatic that’s a different story all together.
Besides squirrels are a nuisance any way.
This is really just another attempt to curtail property owners rights. Thank the Supreme Court.
So many questions…….
Was he shooting at bad hours (night, early AM)?
How frequently (i like guns, but not every 5 minutes)?
How close were the houses?
If you have kids, and woods that backed up to your house, would you like to know that your neighbor randomly likes shooting into the woods with the possiblity of your kids building a treehouse back there?
Ya this article fails to deliver, how close where the houses? How much space was in there backyard?
Not allowing thiese people shoot might be something very reasonable or it could be assinine based on a cpl different varibles. D-
First of all, Easton is in a fairly rural area, so those complaining are likely recent transplants from the more urban areas nearby. To those people I say this - Shame on you for attempting to change an area to suit your views on what should be and what shouldn’t be allowed in your township. Ya Stoopid Idjitz
In reponse to the headline:
Yup, let’s get that food off of his table so he can go on welfare and I can foot the bill.
In repsponse to the author’s article:
You offer little substance, and expect people to be enraged by an individual shooting food (lawfully) on his property. But don’t mention the two charges that weren’t thrown out. Nor do you address during what hours or which weapons this guy is using in his yard, how far the closest house is located or any of the other questions this “article” leads one to ask. IMHO, You are a jackass. I would use your name, but you opted not to attach your name to the drivel printed above.
In response to the image posted next to your propaganda:
How old are you? The Oregon Trail Hunting scene simply illustrates the juvenile nature of the author.
To remove more rights from the law abiding citizens will simply embolden the turrists.

Maaaaaaaaann Fark Y’all!
very well written.
Thanks.
If you go to the link provided at the end of the drivel above the couple doing the shooting was not hunting at all, simply doing some target practice. The complaing couple, IMO, needs to be placed down range and used for target practice themselves. The couple doing the shooting has been doing in that location for more than a decade without incident until their new neighbors came up with a BS complaint and got the courtship to file an injunction and the township to pass a ruling. Again the liberal agenda is upheld trying to restrict the private citizen from using their privately owned land for their own purposes and pleasures. Rant over.
Easton isn’t rural at all, it’s a small rustbelt city and the beginning of the densely populated Lehigh Valley. It consists of a downtown area surrounded by fairly dense suburban developments and homes in the hills above.
Given that the township passed a law to stop this guy restricting gun use within 450 feet of a residence, he must have a small property and/or have been really close to his neighbor’s home.
If you want to shoot guns all day, get a real back 40.

Your article is grounded in some fact although I wouldn’t compare relatively benign drugs such as caffeine with heroin, etc.
