A Tree Falls In Philly
What has to happen for me to do some original reporting? A giant tree has to fall outside my place. Earlier today, I walked out of my apartment building to find, of course, a tree sitting 15 or so feet outside my door. The tree hadn’t been that close to my building last night, and it certainly wasn’t lying across the street before. Later in the day, there was more information, conveniently nailed to the tree sprawled across the Clinton Street. It read:
Hey, it’s a smart bunch here on Clinton Street. We already know the city’s going to take forever to clean it up. Full gallery of photos follows below.
I also have a Flickr gallery of photos I took, because I’m a nerd like that. Earlier Today: PWD Editor Cheats Death Yet Again |

This is one of those things where you really hope that there was nobody on the tree when that happened.
33+ dead in Virginia and you’re writing about a tree falling….
Sounds about right.
Just because it doesn’t make you wretch doesn’t make it bad news.
Appreciate a story that makes you chuckle. I know this tree isn’t going to walk into my crib and shoot me in the face.
And I know how that a*&hole did that, he pulled a trigger. But I have no idea how that tree uprooted itself out of a sidewalk…wait….eh uh….no clue.
tim, as someone who grew up in roanoke, va, 30 minutes from virginia tech, get over yourself.
hahaha, the only thing i love more than blogs is people who read blogs and take things seriously…and then respond…and then try to connect them to him/herself in some way to try to validate why they are offended.
well done jordon, you have made my day by continuing the streak of retards who have a knee-jerk reaction to stupid internet postings and then feel the need to reply to make themselves feel better.
bigger question: if a tree falls on dan, and no one is there to hear it, does it get blogged?
