Kids Nowadays Get Day Off At Mention Of Snow
Okay, so there’s not even an inch of snow on the ground and already these kids are getting released from school for the day! Okay, so it’s mostly the suburban schools. But back in my day, we had to walk uphill through the snow both ways and only got off if there thirty-one feet of snow. Well, maybe not. But come on, I’m jealous! I miss snow days. GOT ICE?…..
I know what you mean about the over dramatization, but I must say the news crews do get me very excited for the snow blizzard of the year! I’m just usually verrrry disappointed when all we have is a measly inch or two. The freezing rain tonight could prove to be a little slippery tomorrow a.m., but I’m sure the news crews will be out there advising everyone to stay home….if only I didn’t have to work.
Anyway, I took some cool photos today when I was at The Residences at Dockside condominiums this morning. Got to http://www.lifeonthedelaware.com to check out all the ice on the Delaware River and the fog of snow flurries.
There are more pics at http://www.lifeonthedelaware.com, a new blog Dockside started to chronicle the lives of people that live, work and play along the waterfront.
It’s fun…hope you stop by!
Best,
Kathleen
I now hate snow days. But then, I’m a nanny which means I actually have to work more when there’s no school. Being a grown up sucks.
