Eagles’ Winning Streak Inducing Craziness
Oh, yes, I suppose I have not done much on the Eagles yet. So let me begin: Whoo! Eat it, Dallas! The Eagles are a win away from the division title and a first-round home playoff game thanks to many things, but part of it due to Jeff Garcia’s surprisingly good performance. Of course, some people are taking it a little overboard:
No no no! No no no no no. Look, Garcia is playing worlds better than anyone thought he would. But he’s not as good as Donovan McNabb. Next year, you sign Garcia to start at the beginning of the season if McNabb isn’t ready and then he returns to the backup role. (It’s all in this article.) It’s okay; it gets worse in that NBC 10 blog:

Results of the poll on the same page:
Who Should Start In 2007 For The Eagles?
Choice Votes Percentage of 2166 Votes
McNabb 802 37%
Garcia 1364 63%
I’m going to slit my wrists now.
Never underestimate the Philly fans ability to be shortsighted…
The Eagles are winning now because Reid, That Mornhinweg and Johnson corrected playcalling problems. In addition, the players have responded with their “Backs to the walls” because of the veteran leadership of Dawkins and Trotter on Defense. And yes, the confidence in Garcia.
But don’t be fooled, that confidence in Garcia is not that they aren’t confident in McNabb. But you can compare it more to the lack of confidence in Detmer and McMahon last year.
And lastly, that same percentage who are voting for Garcia, probably wanted Feeley to replace mcNabb.
Harold Eskin spends so much time talking in circles that if you don’t agree with him today, there is a good chance you will tomorrow.
I listen to WPEN or WFAN in NYC during that time but I am surmising that he is just as stupid as he was a couple of years ago.
The only thing he is correct about is that
if you are listening to him, there is a very good chance you are an idiot.
