Reason #24 To Love Philadelphia: Uhh… Andre Miller?
Hey, you have to start somewhere. Yesterday, the 76ers traded away Allen Iverson to Denver for Andre Miller, ex-76er Joe Smith and two first round picks in the next draft. Joe Smith is simply an expiring contract, which — according to the NBA’s strange contract rules — makes him a hot commodity. (Essentially, he’s off the team and the books next year. Huzzah!) The first-round picks (coupled with the Sixers’ own pick, which could be #1 overall) will be judged later. For now, Smith is a non-entity and so the only thing the 76ers have now for Allen Iverson is point guard Andre Miller. So, welcome to Philadelphia, Andre! This may be the only time when there’s no fan pressure on you here, since we all know the Sixers are hopeless. But still, expect to hear some boos. Andre Miller [Basketball Reference] |

the funny part is that we will not get the number one pick because of andre miller. he will make us better than the rest of the terrible teams in the NBA, costing us a shot at the #1 draft pick.
