Leftovers: Donovan Not Invited To T.O. Bash

• Jevon Kearse wasn’t at the Eagles’ game Monday night because he was at Terrell Owens’ birthday party. He hung out with Chris Rock, Penny Marshall and Bobby Brown, and was looking for Bobby Brown’s mistress. No word if Freddie Mitchell was there. [Inquirer]

• ; And, it turns out that, indeed, snitches don’t just get stitches, they get shot three times in the head. But, hey, the people at the McDonald’s say he got what he deserved, so I guess they’re right. Er. [Inquirer]

• Annnd you knew it was coming: Taco Bell is being sued by a guy who got E. coli. And if you want a joke, then you’re out of luck — it’s Friday afternoon and I think my brain left at around 2:15. [AP/6 ABC]

This reminds me of an article in last month’s Philadelphia Magazine. I guess certain people in this city would prefer to get shot than have the police and the courts try to do anything about it. Look, no one says the cops are great, but I’d take them over a bunch of dumb hoodlums who will kill someone or burn their house down or rape them over stupid shit. You can’t help but wonder why decent people take the bullets. If idiots want to be idiots, fine, but let them take the damage. Other people shouldn’t suffer.

Now for the obligatory joke: Why can’t kids settle problems like they did in the old days, with tap dancing competitions?

yo - people at mcdonald’s didn’t say he got what he deserved. people at mcdonald’s said there were some people in the neighborhood who said he got what was deserved. i think.

I assumed those people in the neighborhood also patronized that McDonald’s. After all, it has served billions.
