Tackling The Eagles Defense (Not Like They Could Do It)Last night, the Eagles squeaked out come-from-behind win — hey, they didn’t blow it this time! — over the Carolina Panthers, 27-24, improving their record to 6-6 and moving them into the final Wild Card spot in the NFC. The coverage of the game focused mainly on three things — Rocky Balboa, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and how a couple Eagles fans booed when it looked like A.J. Feeley was going to come in and then didn’t. (The announcers acted as if two fans had just stabbed Jeff Garcia in the nuts, then proceeded to talk about how all this A.J. Feeley talk inspires Garcia to improve his performance. Shouldn’t fans be booing all day then?) Although the Eagles won last night, the defense still left a little — okay, a lot — to be desired. And, as such, I’ve recapped the defense’s performance in the following video (and, yeah, some of these are nitpicky, shush): Hey. Missed tackles or not, a win’s a win. Now go beat Washington next week, please? Earlier today: Reason #13 To Love Philadelphia: This Guy |
