Local Division III College Team Scores 200 Points, Feasts On Innards Of Opponents In Refreshing Post-Game Meal
Chester County school Lincoln University is ranked 11th in Division III, but the Lions suffered their first loss of the season Friday night. And so, the school decided to take it out on Ohio State-Marion, a school with only six players on its team. And, uh, they did, to the tune of a 201-78 victory Marion, setting boatloads of NCAA records in the process. Sam Wylie shot 44 times in just 24 minutes, setting a record with 21 three-pointers. The Lions also set a record for margin of victory, previously held by Eureka College in a 1989 game against a school called Borat. (Eureka vs. Borat: A game for the ages.) Strangely, though, no one to my knowledge has yet asked Lincoln head coach Garfield Yuille why he decided to press the entire game. (Even worse, he didn’t put in any white players! Erhm.) Yes, despite scoring 97 points in the first half, the Lions decided to press the obviously overmatched Marion team the entire game. Of course, Wylie has an explanation for that:
Some people might look like you ran it up? Although I do get it now. You practice to prepare for games, and then when the game is already in hand in record fashion, you just turn it into a practice! And kill your opponents with an ax! All of Lincoln University must be proud. Lincoln sets D-III record for points in game, half [ESPN.com] |

Well, sports aren’t just about exercise, they’re also about learning valuable lessons, such as destroying your enemies and crushing those weaker than you. If the kid doesn’t make it to the NBA, at least he has a career in politics.
The NBA? Are you kidding me? This kid has about as much chance to make it in the NBA as I do at becoming president. This was a deplorable act by a classless institution. A disgrace to collegiate athletics.
I believe in playing how you practice, and playing to win, but come on. At some point during this game this guy has to have the rationality to realize what he is doing. OSU-Marion had six players. SIX! The Lincoln coach said he had 18 on his bench.
This really was a detestible act by what I’m having trouble with even calling a “university.” Read Lincoln University’s mission statement, what a joke. I think this whole institution is a joke.
Hey coach if you think that game was a waste of time, I’m sure I could round up four guys from my local YMCA and return the favor.
What a joke. This university should be ashamed of itself. I have zero respect for anyone associated with this dump.
first of all everyone has there own oppinion about what happen but i say if u cant take the heat stay out of the kitchen… come on we are all grown the team got cheated the night before and felt like they had to make a statement dont matter if we were playing against any other school good or bad they should not change up for nothing or nobody if it works do it… besides they made a name for themselves if the other team had d one players and were good and got blown out would it matter then….. i cant believe it is so much hate in the world… if the team that lost was all black players and the team the won was all white players would these comments still be the same?
