Zagat Marijuana Guide Gives Philly Low Ratings

NBC 10 reported last night on some local police departments angry with a website detailing the easiest and safest ways to find marijuana in the world.

Now, of course, NBC 10 doesn’t name the website, but it shows enough screenshots of the website that it takes one quick Google by anyone to find out it’s WeBeHigh.com. (You’re really putting that stupid stoner stereotype to rest.) The two angry police departments in the ‘burbs are Doylestown and Horsham.

Horsham police chief Joseph Repkoe calls the site “a bunch of crap.” Doylestown police chief Joseph Donnelly says that while drugs are sold in the area, “[t]he strongest thing you’re likely to leave with is coffee.” (Donnelly also breaks out the won’t-someone-think-of-the-children angle: “A young impressionable teen could look at this and figure its a way to get involved in the drug culture.”)

But enough of that. Of course police departments are going to be pissed at this site; it’d be kind of weird if they didn’t. The real question is: How’s the quality of the bud in Philadelphia?

Unfortunately… eh, not so good. While the Philly cops “have real problems to worry about like crack addicts and burglary,” “you can’t find wonderful hydro or anything jaw-dropping.”

Come on, people. We won’t truly be a world class city until our weed is the same quality of New York’s or LA’s!
